Music Video Stills
Album/ Single Covers
In the run up to the album's more traditional broadcast campaign, we made multiple 10" TVCs - each based on the 'Accidentally On Purpose' theme, and produced so that each day more of the band's personality was showcased. Fun and intriguing, they certainly started a conversation with the audience!
Presented below are the first and last in the series, so the progression between 10" Teaser TVCs can be seen.
20" & 30" TVCs (Traditional)
For this campaign traditional 20" & 30" TVCs were used as the jumping off point for the more fun and energetic 'Accidentally On Purpose' versions - the concept being that these traditional TVCs would be broadcast as a base line - once audiences were familiar with the messaging in these TVCs we could then play with the form, and turn the campaign on its head (literally!)
'Accidentally On Purpose' TVCs
These versions of the TVC leveraged the band's fun personality, and ran with the 'Accidentally On Purpose' concept. Using the audience's familiarity with the traditional TVCs we had thing go wrong with the broadcast 'Accidentally On Purpose', and have the band fix them.
These fun play on words allowed for the form and the album title to come together, and make some attention grabbing TV ads - broadcasting upside down was a first for us!
Two of our favourites from the series are below.
We put together a wide range of social elements including Behind the Scenes, Teaser trailers, EPKs, social banners, retail idents as well as a series of shorts where the guys played pranks on the crew. They have to be seen to be believed!
Music Promo Teasers
These pieces of content were used online to prepare the audience for the 'Guilty' music promo, and show empty versions of key locations from the piece.
These were used on many different social platforms, and there was a series of several videos - presented below are just two of our favourites.
'Accidentally On Purpose' Word Games
For these fun bits of pre-album release social media content we filmed Ben and Chrissie from the band dropping lyrics from the upcoming album into conversations with crew and cast - to much confusion!
These were used on multiple social media platforms, and got a great response, whilst planting the seeds for the album's tracklist and lyric reveal.
Props 'Accidentally On Purpose' Left On Set
These fun videos were used both in advance of the music promo's release, and after - and showed the band putting key props on the sets of the 'Guilty' Music Promo.
This series was well received, and helped hype audience's up for the rest of the campaign's content.
These fun videos were based on he concept of being 'Guilty of...' In these videos we had the band admit to some embarrassing sins, and asked the audience to #GuessWhosGuilty - Ben or Chrissie?
Two of the most successful videos are shown below.
Track By Track
We took the more traditional Track By Track format and split each track out into its own 1:1 social media video. This meant that, rather than just being a companion video that's out after the album has dropped, the Track By Track videos worked as a pre-release promotional tool - generating buzz and making one tool have twice as much impact as usual!
